Garden Tip

Garden Tip

Now is the perfect time to plant bulbs for a beautiful spring display.  This can be done at the same time as planting violas and pansies, if those haven’t already been installed.  You can coordinate colors between spring bulbs and pansies for an even greater effect.  As a general rule, solid color bulb flowers tend to enhance the colors in mixed pansies.  You can also take advantage of the opportunity to incorporate compost into a bed area prior to installing new plants.  Also, you definitely don’t want to forget about the tropical plants you have in containers outside, which will need to be brought in from the cold.  You can bring in the entire plant, or take cuttings and root them to create new, smaller plants for use next year.
